How a class feels

Slow and controlled

Movements are done with care rather than speed, which makes Pilates low impact and kind to your joints.

Breath first

Each exercise is paired with the breath. It keeps you focused and helps the deep core muscles engage.

Before your first class

Do I need to be flexible?
No. Flexibility is something Pilates builds over time. Every exercise can be made smaller or easier.
What should I wear?
Fitted clothes you can move and stretch in, so your instructor can see your alignment.
How is it different from yoga?
Pilates puts the focus on core strength and controlled, repeated movement rather than holding poses.
Injured or pregnant?
Let your instructor know before class starts so they can adjust the exercises for you.
